Credit Key is seeking a Commercial Underwriting Manager to join our team. Reporting to the Chief Credit Officer, our Commercial Underwriting Manager is responsible for managing and empowering our hardworking and skilled Risk Operations and Underwriting team. In addition to leading the team, the manager will be responsible for expanding our large dollar commercial underwriting strategy and policy, improving our cash flow based underwriting model, and enhancing our verifications (KYC and KYB) and fraud tools, processes, and procedures, and partnering with technical stakeholders to build intelligent and scalable solutions.

What you'll do

  • Oversee and manage team of analysts in our Risk Operations and Underwriting department
  • Own and improve our unsecured large dollar (up to $1MM) credit strategy.
  • Prepare comprehensive credit memorandums that provide rationale, opinions and recommendations regarding large dollar lines of credit and present to Credit Committee in support of approval
  • Develop credit review process to assess effectiveness of credit underwriting strategy and judgmental decisions.
  • Maintain good working knowledge of the Bank’s lending policies and procedures and identify exceptions to credit policy
  • Monitor, track, and resolve issue tickets with internal partners and commercial business customers while maintaining service level agreements
  • Work cross functionally with our Customer Support team to resolve customer issues and requests in a efficient and timely manner
  • Review, process, and perform due diligence for client underwriting, fraud alert, and line increases
  • Identifies key risk issues and recommends action plans to remediate concerns
  • Regularly exercises discretion and judgment in the performance of essential job functions
  • Ensures adherence to credit policies, guidelines, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements
