We are Nobl9, a US startup with 70 people on board. Our mission is to build the world’s first platform that provides a common understanding of reliability across organizations by defining Service Level Objectives (SLOs). We operate in two locations, the US and Poland, with Poznań being the headquarters of our Engineering Team.

We’re now seeking a QA Manager, who will work hand in hand with our QA Team to ensure the quality of our platform, enhance our release process management and provide leadership for the QA Team. It is a brand new role at Nobl9.

Salary range for this position: 20 000 - 25 000 PLN net (B2B) / 17 000 - 21 000 PLN gross (employment contract).

• Develop and implement QA strategies, standards, and procedures to ensure effective testing and quality assurance processes
• Lead our QA team consisting of 5 experienced QA Engineers and act as a direct supervisor to our release manager as well
• Plan, prioritize, and oversee QA engineering work execution within your team
• Cultivate a strong engineering culture of quality across teams
• Building a culture of collaboration and innovation to release quality code, enhancing development workflows while advocating for test automation processes
• Collaborate with our Engineering Managers to identify and mitigate risks that may affect team delivery and overall engineering team success involving proactive problem-solving and contingency planning regarding QA roles
• Act as a people manager for your team of +5 team members, playing a pivotal role in their career development. This includes setting clear performance expectations, conducting regular one-on-one meetings, providing guidance and mentorship, conducting performance evaluations, and creating growth opportunities for the team members; You will receive support in this process from Engineering Managers and our HR Business Partner
• Serve as a hiring manager during the recruitment process for QA team and work closely with our HR BP to identify the best fit for both the company and the team
• Build a positive team culture and foster collaboration and innovation within the QA team
• Work in a friendly non-corporate atmosphere that prioritizes flexibility and autonomy over stiff procedures and fixed hierarchy.

• Solid experience in leading and managing QA team in a software development environment
• Extensive knowledge of cutting-edge software testing methodologies, tools, and techniques
• Experience working with cloud providers, distributed systems and web apps
• Proven track record of ensuring quality of the products in a long-term perspective
• Experience in proactively identifying and applying improvements to the release processes
• Excellent communication skills in both Polish and English
• Leadership skills that help you inspire and motivate your team, along with experience in coaching and managing the career development of QA team members
• Adaptability, and a positive mindset to effectively manage changing priorities
• Effective decision making and problem-solving attitude.
