About the Role:
We are expanding our Finance team to support Optimize Health’s rapid growth. Reporting to the Head of Finance, this position will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting and gain exposure to a variety of finance areas.
Our ideal candidate will have the following skills and experiences:
- Bachelor's of Science Degree in Accounting or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a public accounting firm or minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in corporate accounting
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and G Suite
- Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting
- CPA or CPA candidate preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving and analytical skill
- High level of quality awareness, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Sense of urgency and customer-oriented mindset, ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment
- Working within the Eastern Time Zone hours of operation preferred
Responsibilities
- Ensure timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close
- Complete monthly fluctuation reviews
- Record and maintain revenue recognition schedules in compliance with ASC 606, including accrued and deferred revenue
- Own AP and AR, ensuring that customers are properly invoiced and vendors are paid in a timely manner
- Communicate internally with Sales and Customer Success to ensure accurate billing and revenue recognition
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding billing and collection in a timely manner
- Assist in annual audits, financial due diligence, tax filings, and compliance documentation
- Work with third party tax accountants to complete filing in a timely manner
- Support continuous process improvement, including the implementation of various software and systems
- Help with ad-hoc projects across all aspects of the finance function
