We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior SDR Leader to join our fast-growing AI company. In this player-coach role, you will lead, mentor, and scale a team of SDRs responsible for driving pipeline and revenue growth. You will collaborate closely with sales, marketing, and operations to ensure alignment on strategy and execution. Your leadership will be instrumental in developing talent, optimizing processes, and achieving our ambitious company goals.

Role Overview

The Senior Manager, SDRs is responsible for building, managing, and scaling a high-performing team of Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) focused on generating and qualifying leads for the sales organization. This leadership role is pivotal in aligning SDR activities with company revenue goals, optimizing outreach strategies, and ensuring seamless collaboration with sales, marketing, and revenue operations teams. The SDR Leader will act as a mentor, strategist, and player-coach, driving both individual and team success in a fast-paced technology or AI-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Management & Coaching
• Hire, onboard, and train new SDRs, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to succeed.
• Set clear performance goals and KPIs for the team and individuals, providing regular feedback and conducting one-on-one meetings to track progress.
• Foster a collaborative, high-performance team environment and address interpersonal challenges as they arise.
• Actively participate in prospecting and outreach to set the standard for excellence and execution within the team.
• Strategy & Process Optimization
• Develop, implement, and refine SDR strategies, scripts, and outreach templates tailored to the target market and industry.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, and revenue operations to ensure alignment on goals, messaging, and lead qualification criteria.
• Use data-driven approaches to monitor and analyze team and individual performance metrics, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
• Evaluate and adopt new technologies and programs to drive superior SDR performance.
• Pipeline & Revenue Generation
• Oversee the generation and qualification of leads to ensure a healthy pipeline of sales opportunities.
• Ensure seamless handoff of qualified leads to sales executives, maintaining open communication between SDRs and the sales team.
• Align SDR efforts with marketing campaigns to optimize lead flow and pipeline development.
• Market & Product Expertise
• Stay current on industry trends, market challenges, and company product offerings, coaching SDRs accordingly.
• Gather and relay customer and market feedback to inform product and go-to-market strategies.

Desired Skills & Qualifications

• Previous frontline SDR leadership experience in a technology, SaaS, or AI company.
• 2-3 years previous experience as a SDR/BDR in a SaaS sales environment
• Proven ability to recruit, onboard, and develop SDR sales talent.
• Strong analytical skills with experience using CRM and sales enablement tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
• Excellent communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to implement and optimize sales development processes.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a hands-on approach to leadership and problem-solving.
• Understanding of the company’s target market and the ability to adapt messaging and strategies accordingly.

Compensation

The base salary range for this position in Seattle is a range of $130,000-180,000 + performance bonuses. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience.
