About Us

Supio is a trusted AI platform purpose-built for law firms, reshaping how data drives impactful outcomes. Our innovative approach blends technology with deep legal expertise, making us a leader in our field. We go beyond surface-level AI to deeply understand our customers’ daily needs, empowering law firms with unparalleled data insights. Supio delivers human-level, accurate analysis of complex data and legal records, quickly and efficiently bringing critical insights when they matter most. Trusted by top litigation lawyers, our platform has supported over $1 billion in settlements.
Headquartered in Seattle with an office in San Francisco, we raised $60M Series B in April 2025 led by Sapphire Ventures with Mayfield and Thomson Reuters Ventures, bringing total funding to $91M. We're scaling rapidly and looking for exceptional talent to join us in this next phase of growth.
We're looking for passionate team members who are motivated by our mission and ready to help us achieve it.

Who We’re Looking For:

As our Director of Engineering, Application Experience, you’ll lead the teams responsible for how users experience Supio across onboarding, case management, workflows, and drafting tools. You’ll define and deliver the next generation of AI-native, LLM-powered product experiences that empower legal teams to work faster, smarter, and more collaboratively. This is a role for a hands-on builder-leader who cares deeply about product quality, user experience, and velocity.

A bit about you:

  • Experienced leader in frontend or front-end–leaning full-stack development, with a passion for elegant, AI-powered user experiences.
  • Strong technical background in React, TypeScript, Node.js, and cloud-based application development, with recent experience building and shipping LLM or agentic, user-facing features.
  • Proven ability to drive timelines and outcomes in ambiguous, probabilistic AI work—using evals, iteration, and experimentation to ship reliably.
  • Empathetic leader who builds small, high-performing teams that thrive on curiosity, ownership, and impact, and who is willing to stay close to the architecture and early critical paths.
  • Able to balance long-term technical vision with near-term delivery in a fast-paced startup environment.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead frontend and front-end–leaning full-stack teams building Supio’s end-to-end application experience across onboarding, case management, workflows, and drafting.
  • Partner with product, design, and AI teams to define and deliver intuitive, high-impact LLM/agentic user experiences in React.
  • Own and evolve the architecture, component systems, and evaluation loops powering all user-facing applications, including how we measure and improve AI behavior and quality.
  • Drive excellence in UI performance, accessibility, reliability, and design systems while operating at startup clock speed.
  • Champion experimentation, user feedback, and rapid iteration across product surfaces, turning ambiguous ideas into concrete, shippable features with clear timelines.
  • Build, mentor, and retain a world-class engineering team focused on speed, empathy, and quality, modeling high-information-density communication and crisp execution.
  • Collaborate with the Core Systems group to ensure seamless integration between application experiences, AI infrastructure, and backend platforms.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10+ years of software engineering experience, with 4+ years managing or directing engineering teams.
  • Strong background in front-end architecture, UX engineering, and full-stack web development, including React, TypeScript, and Node.js.
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams that have shipped complex SaaS or AI-native products, ideally including LLM- or agentic-driven user experiences.
  • Proven ability to manage toward outcomes and timelines in ambiguous, AI-heavy projects, with clear examples of how you structured work and communicated uncertainty.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to operate at high information density and collaborate effectively with product, design, AI, and go-to-market partners.

Benefits & Perks:

Supio offers an extensive benefits package and perks which include:
  • Health insurance: medical, dental, and vision
  • 401(k)
  • Flexible paid time off (PTO) and company-paid holidays
  • Monthly commuter subsidies
  • DoorDash subsidies for breakfast and dinner
