We recently secured $9 million in our Series A funding led by Vertical Venture Partners with participation from existing investors Bonfire Ventures and MTech Capital.

As our first Accounting Manager, you will spearhead all financial activities, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting and compliance. You are an analytical, self-starter who will collaborate closely with leadership to build the foundation for our finance function, contributing significantly to strategic decision-making and organizational planning. You are a creative problem solver, who will build reporting on our Key Performance Indicators and surface actionable insights from our financial data. This is a role for someone who has 4+ years of experience and wants to take significant ownership of Zuub’s financial activities and reporting.

What You’ll Do:

• Financial Reporting and Analysis: Establish and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes. Conduct in-depth data analysis of financial performance and create dashboards to share insights with stakeholders.
• Accounting Operations: Drive day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable and general ledger activities.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Partner with department heads to develop and monitor budgets and forecasts. Provide insights into financial trends and variances, supporting strategic planning for the Executive Team.
• Process Development and Improvement: Design and implement scalable accounting processes and policies. Leverage technology to provide insights, streamline operations and enhance efficiency.

What you have:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. A CPA certification is nice to have.
• 4+ years of experience as an Accounting Manager or similar role, ideally in a startup environment or small company.
• Deep understanding of accounting principles and regulations, with experience in financial reporting and analysis.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and advanced MS Excel skills.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights. Expert in leveraging raw data to create KPI dashboards and financial reports.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive and adaptable approach. You are a self starter with an ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

What We Offer

• Zuub believes everyone should be compensated fairly and equitably. The annual salary range is $110,000 - $120,000.
