📣 Role Summary

As a Business Development Representative at Topline Pro, you’ll be on the front lines of our mission to help service pros grow their businesses. This is a full-cycle sales role where you’ll spend your days talking to real people, listening, asking smart questions, and helping them understand how we can make their lives easier. You’ll thrive here if you’re energized by making 100+ cold calls a day, staying laser-focused, and working closely with your teammates in a fast-moving office. You’ll be selling into the SMB market with an average sales cycle of one week — urgency, follow-up discipline, and focus are critical to success. It’s fast, challenging, and deeply rewarding, especially if you’re motivated by real impact and excited to help build and improve evolving processes in a scaling startup.


⚡ What you'll do

  • Qualify inbound and outbound leads, run discovery calls, deliver tailored demos, and close new business; all lead sources are provided

  • Execute high-volume outreach daily across phone, email, and text — including 100+ cold calls each day to small business owners

  • Manage a dynamic sales pipeline, with tight follow-up loops and task discipline

  • Iterate on messaging based on real-time feedback and conversations to improve results

  • Collaborate with teammates and share customer insights that inform sales strategy, product development, and onboarding

  • Maintain post-sale touchpoints when needed and ensure a smooth handoff to the customer success team

  • Drive a fast-moving sales process, typically closing new accounts within one week of first contact


🎯 What we’re looking for

  • Recent Grad or 1+ years of experience in sales or customer-facing roles; bonus points if you’ve worked with small businesses

  • Willingness to reach out cold across phone, email, and text, and a genuine desire to sharpen your skills through high-volume cold calling

  • Ability to manage dozens of relationships at once while staying organized, focused, and responsive

  • Excitement about working in a lean, fast-moving startup where no two days are the same

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, you know how to keep things clear, concise, and compelling

  • Coachable attitude with a growth mindset, eager to learn from feedback, and improve quickly

  • Comfort with high-rep, high-volume work, you thrive in an environment where consistency and hustle are key

🚀 Your First 90 Days

  • Ramp up on product knowledge, tools, and outbound activity

  • Learn to run the full sales cycle with increasing independence and confidence

  • Hit daily call and meeting targets using HubSpot, Salesloft, and other core tools

  • Show strong follow-up habits, pipeline ownership, and coachability

  • Operate at full productivity with minimal guidance


📅 Hiring Process

  • Recruiter Screen (30 min): A chance to learn more about Topline Pro and tell us about your goals and background

  • Sales Manager Screen (30 min): Meet with one of our sales leaders to go deeper into your experience and approach

  • In Person Case Study (45 min): You’ll walk through a short exercise designed to evaluate discovery skills, communication, and coachability

  • Co-Founder Screen (45 min): A conversation with one of our co-founders to talk mission, motivation, and where we’re headed next

We’re building AI powered Shopify for service businesses. We help service pros (e.g., roofers, landscapers, painters, cleaners) acquire direct business, fast. Up and running within minutes using Gen AI, our digital storefront products help pros get discovered, trusted, and booked repeatedly.
